To those of you that have read Bobby's story we have some very sad news.  

Bobby passed away 3 weeks ago from complications of an operation on her pastern bone where she had an infection.  We managed to clear the infection but the hoof wall broke down which caused her pedal bone to move and that caused her a great deal of pain.  

Tony had to make the heart wrenching decission to say goodbye to our dear Bobby.  The poor mare had the strength of ten horses and never gave up the fight right to the very end. 

We called the Millers in Yarra Glen since Bobby had come to live in Pakenham with us and let them know the time had come to say goodbye to Bobby.  We gave her some very strong drugs and then travelled her from Pakenham to Yarra Glen where the local vet would come and humanly put Bobby to sleep surrounded by her family, and there she was buried under her favorite willow tree on the property she grew up on.  

Bobby you deserve peace, you brought joy and laughter and taught us so much, you gave so much and really got very little in return.
