Northbound Rockin Sox (Bobby)

Bobby is a 10yr old Appaloosa Mare.  Her owners were at a last resort until they met Tony.  Bobby has a rotated Pedal Bone in one front foot after an operation for Osteolysis (destruction of the Pedal Bone).    Bobby has been in the rail shoe for 4 weeks and so far results have been good.  But we don't want to prempt the outcome it will speak for it's self over the next few weeks.

This is Bobby's "Rail Shoe" currently being used in the UK for this type of condition with great results.

Bobby has been jogging about the paddock and even managed a lope in the last week. A teriffic result on Bobby's behalf she is a tough old girl.

Here is a picture of Bobby in her hay day, not that long ago. It's any wonder her owners are trying to save her.  Bobby has had her foal now over 2 months old, she had her first trip to the vet for a new X-ray and the result was fantastic.  1cm of sole depth over her pedal bone and a very stable hoof and bone.  Vet was extremly pleased to see Bobby and the foal as he said to Tony horses in this much trouble generally dont survie.  Well done Bobby

Rotated Pedal Bone.

Horse was presented to Rossdales Vet hospital with a rotated pedal bone. He was treated with a aluminium rocker shoe as well as other procedures. The horse has a great recovery with this technique and the common sense of the owner. Full report coming soon.
